OWNER & CHEF SARAH WADE'S STORY
Chef Sarah started her career as a hotel chef working for large hotel chains in Houston, North Carolina and Connecticut. After 10 years she decided it was time to find an independent restaurant to work at where her skills and love of cooking could shine. In 2014 she opened Lulu's Allston as the chef. While at Lulu's, her world changed when the Food Network called inviting her to compete in a cooking tournament, Chopped Gold Medal Games. Much to her surprise she won the competition, beating out 16 chefs from across the country. Sarah told the world that she would use her Chopped winnings to open her own restaurant. A little over a year later she opened her pride and joy, Stillwater, a redefined comfort food restaurant in the heart of downtown Boston. Stillwater has won many accolades since opening, including Best New Restaurant.
